First of all, I'd like to apologize for the absence of a September issue. My father died in August and I had other things on my mind. This month's issue features all of the entries for the Flash Fiction contest I sponsored in the Zoetrope Online Writer's Workshop. At the bottom of this page is a poll. VOTING IS OVER. Congratulations to Fran Friel for taking first place with Orange and Golden. In a tightly contested race, Mike Ripley came in second with One Number. And while I truly hope this won't hurt anyone's feelings, my personal favorite didn't get more than a couple of votes. So don't accuse me of rigging the election.
